Recipe Round Up: Healthy Thanksgiving

Recipe Round Up: Healthy Thanksgiving

Need HEALTHY Thanksgiving ideas for your table? I got your back.

Thanksgiving is possibly my favorite holiday…for the obvious reason its sole focus is around FOOD! AmIright? For me it’s an excuse to cook for lots of people I love, gather around a table with my wonderful family, and indulge in piles and piles of ALL the veggies and fruits.

I have compiled a fabulous, if I do say so myself, list of all my Thanksgiving favorites! As always, they are all vegetarian friendly, refined sugar free, and mostly gluten-free.

Let’s begin with my favorite turkey substitutethe lentil loaf! Lentils are so insanely delicious and packed full of protein, keeping you fuller longer.

Next we have a family favorite – Mashed Potatoes and Gravy! A necessary component to any and all Thanksgiving feasts. Here is a healthier version from one of my all time favorite blogs…

Nutrition Stripped: Savory Mushroom Gravy with Cauliflower Potato Mash

Even if there is not turkey to stuff, you can still have stuffing…! True: stuffing is my Thanksgiving indulgence…for some reason the thought of eating bread in pudding consistency is not really appealing to me any other time of year…

And what is Thanksgiving without Pumpkin Pie…? This one is vegan and so delicious!

Like I said…ALL the veggies. Enjoy this amazing green bean casserole without homemade crispy onions atop instead of the deep-fried/processed ones from the grocery.

Brussels Sprouts are one of my favorite fall foods…I mean c’mon, what’s better than mini cabbage?

And last, but absolutely not least, set out this AMAZING galette for your guests to munch on while you’re finishing preparing the meal.

I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with LOVE, HAPPINESS, and LOTS OF LAUGHTER!
