PLWF Turns ONE!
WOAH. How was it already been a year?? Time flies when you’re having fun. 😉
A year ago I published my first blog post. I had started stalking countless other healthy food/living bloggers for months, dreaming my life would morph into these beautiful colorful kitchens and fresh food photos I saw on their Instagram accounts, while I sat unenthused at my desk, reluctantly traveling from remote location to remote location weekly for work.
Ah, so much has changed since last November! So many positive changes! At the time, I didn’t know what the next step in my life would be. All I knew is that I needed a change. Traveling 100% of the time for work was no longer aligning with my personal goals and aspirations. To force myself into moving along quicker, I signed up for the Racine Half Ironman, knowing very well I wouldn’t be able to dedicate the necessary training time for a race to that intensity if I were on the road in unfamiliar places every week. I tossed around the idea of going back to school to get my Masters in Dietetics, or maybe becoming a certified Health Coach, or maybe my blog would just take off and I could become a full-time blogger!!!! But alas, I unexpectedly fell into a job I love and my blog has (obviously) not turned into the world-renowned dream I once had for it.
I have had so much fun along the way though. I don’t put as much time into my blog as I feel like I “should,” (a word I don’t like to use…), but I suppose I am the ultimate judge of that “should” amount of time. As anyone knows who has tried, blogging takes a lot of time and thought. Along the way I have learned as much as I love to share my passion for healthy living, maximizing your life, and practicing presence, I love even more spending time exercising, working on my own yoga practice, and connecting with my wonderful and supportive family and friends…ultimately being present in my own life. Some could call me selfish, but oh well…I’ll take it. 🙂
Peace, Love, Wholefood has been an amazing expressive outlet for me. I don’t consider myself a creative person generally, but I have always loved writing. I’ve been a journal-er since age 7, so it’s been such a blast for me to share my love of writing, combined with my other passions, through this blog. I hope someone, somewhere has read one (or multiple!) of my blog posts and has felt even the tiniest bit inspired to make a positive change in his/her own life.
I thank every person who has spent the time reading my blog posts or trying out my recipes, and particularly those who have called, texted, messaged, e-mailed, commented, or any other means of communication, me to ask questions about my posts, or even make suggestions. Your reaching out makes me feel like I actually might be positively influencing someone else. I truly appreciate each and every one of you. SO much love to you all.
I look forward to many future birthdays for PLWF!
