I’m feeling a lot more energetic overall this week than I have the last 2 weeks, which was encouraging! Especially reassuring since I’m straying off my training plan and increasing my workout quantities and length.

6/13/15 (Saturday): An early morning bike ride. I participated in a 56 mile group ride, which was actually a Pelotonia training ride, but I decided to do it for my training. It had SAG support, which was comforting in case of emergency. I turned my ride into a brick workout, which was a 20 minute run directly after I got back from my ride. I was afraid our morning would get rained out, but luckily the weather cooperated and we didn’t get a drop of rain.

6/14/15 (Sunday): After the long ride the day before I took it very easy Sunday, doing a short 35 minute run with a friend.

6/15/15 (Monday): Since my gym is closed so untimely for renovation, I trekked across town to another branch of my gym and got in a 1.5 hour indoor bike ride before work. I didn’t push myself too much, but it felt fabulous! Monday evening I changed my normal routine and attended a more gentle yoga class to get in some deep, much-needed, stretching.

6/16/15 (Tuesday): I was feeling off Monday night, even after my yoga class. Since early mornings are my absolute favorite time of day, I went out for a very brief run in the rain to get my body warmed up before doing a yoga self-practice. After work I went for a 1.3 mile open water swim. I’m not really sure how long it took me because I forgot my watch, but I loved it. No one was out there, so it was just me and the calm lake water. I also signed up for another practice Tri this weekend, which is Olympic length, so it is longer than my last practice tri. I’m nervous for it again, but I’m just going to take is slow and steady. 🙂

6/17/15 (Wednesday): Got up early to get in a 10 mile run before work. I went pretty slow, but I was proud of myself for getting it in before work! I took a walk after work and caught up with a friend on the phone, which is always great!

6/18/15 (Thursday): Rest Day!

6/19/15 (Friday): Swimming after work with some guys I know who have done several half and whole Ironman races. It is good for me to get practice swimming in close proximity to other swimmers.

Happy Weekend! Be sure to thank your Fathers! 🙂
